Simple cards for stash

I am constantly needing a card for birthdays, get well or thinking of you. Decided to make several cards using this paper and just use different sentiments.

Getting an early start on some cute little Easter Baskets for meetings.

Found this basket on Chic n Scratch and made a little smaller to hold a small treat for my church group meetings and King's Daughters. TFL

Birthday cards

I have a luncheon coming up for some friends birthday and so I made these cards for them.

I was getting tired of the 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 cards so I decide to do a gate fold and easel card. TFL

Getting ready for card making at King's Daughters

I am going to go to the King's Daughters retirement home in February to do cards with the residents.
I have finally gotten started on designing some cards to do with them. I will have all the pieces colored and cut so they will just assemble them. This will be my second time to do this and they enjoyed it the first time so I am hoping they will again.

Candy Canes

I found this image online this am and decided to make some for my friends at church. The Candy Cane tells the story for Jesus. It can be a J that stands for Jesus, Joy and Jerusalem. When held the other way it can be the shape of a Shepherd's hook. The three lines in the Candy Cane represent the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The white in the Candy Cane represent the purity of Jesus and the red represents the the blood he shed to save us form sin.
Next time you see a Candy Cane look at it a little closer.
MERRY CHRISTMAS

Scarf and hat

I have been working on this scarf and hat for 2 days and thought I would like it more than I do. Now that it is finished I think it is too bulky but I spent too much time making it to not use it. :(

Snowmen ready to be dressed

I have a few more snowmen ready to get a hat and scarf! I am having so much fun making these but I need to get some housework done. :(

Snowman candy bar wrapper

I found this snowman pattern on one of the blogs......can't remember what one. :(  It turned out so cute and I can get candy bars very cheap this week so lots of my friends will be getting one of these soon!
I originally posted the first snowman but have made a few since then.

Matched sets for Friends

I decided to make a pocket and a desk calendar that matches for some of my friends. Hope they like them.

Pocket calendars for 2012

I am getting started on covering some pocket calendars for friends for 2012. Don't know how I will embellish them. Here is what they looked like to begin. I think they are rather dull.

The Tree is Done!

Well, it is finally finished and the lights at the left of the tree are three pkgs. that are stack and a clear block that my daughter painted for me years ago. I am going to enjoy it for the next month. I do like Christmas!

Gingerbread Tree

I have had this tree kit in the closet for a few years and decided the other day to make it so I could get it out of the closet. I enjoyed making these with other family members more that doing this one by myself. I don't think I will eat any of it since it is probably way past edible. It will not be taking space in the closet next year. :)

Christmas Tree

Every year I say I am not putting this huge tree up again and then I think it is so pretty when up and decorated. :) I hope my little granddaughter will see it for the first time. She hasn't been at my house since she was big enough to remember.
I have been using clear lights for soooooooo many years and decided to use colored this year but need to buy some more to finish the top.  Will share another pic when it is finished.
