An Important Project

A dear friend of mine lost her battle with cancer 12 years ago. She was great at embroidery and her daughter gave me a table cloth that she had and never started. I am not very good at this but my plan is to get this finished before Spring so it can be on my dinning room table by Easter. My library has a Sit and Stitch time twice a month and I plan to go and sew on this so I will get it done. Wish me Luck!!!!!!!

gift tags

Lee sent me so many embellies that I will never be able to use them all on cards so I am going to make some gift tags for me and to share with friends. Thanks Lee!

MoJo Monday 157

I found another card kit that someone had sent me in the past and I used the Mojo Monday 157 sketch. It was a fun sketch and the goodies in the kit worked great for it. TFL!

Another kit from Carla

I am so happy to have assembled another card kit that has been here for a long time. It is so much fun to make a card out of some goodies that another has assembled. Carla is great at making card kits! This one was really fun.

A card kit from Carla

A year or so ago, Carla sent me a card kit and I stashed it away and found today. She always sends lots of items in her kits so I was able to make two card from it. I love getting card kits but don't visit the card forums much anymore. TFL!

This tree was in the goodies Lee sent me and I wanted it to be the focal point of the card. I usually don't make many Christmas cards but want to this year because of all the wonderful embellies Lee gave me. Thanks Lee!

Thinking ahead!

While checking in on some blogs this am I found this cute pattern for a gift card/ gift pocket. I thought it would be perfect for some friends in my church groups, club members or nursing homes. I would put tea bags or cocoa or envelopes of hand cream or maybe even a small chocolate treat.
Lee, I used the little stocking, the Noel rubon and the fancy brad from my goodies you sent. They made is so cute. Thanks!

Seasonal Birthday card

This card didn't turn out as great as I visualized it but any card that is handcrafted has to be sent to someone. Lucky me some of my friends eye sight isn't any better than mine!!! :)

First Christmas Item from Lee's goodies!

Lee gave me so many lovely Christmas embellisments that I decided to make my own Christmas tags this year. This is my first one and I think it will look great on a pkg.

A year or so ago, my daughter loned me her SU stamp set. I have not used it until today because she would like to have it back when I see her tomorrow. Now isn't it a shame I didn't use it earlier. :(

Sewing for Granddaughter

My daughter called and told me they are coming to Mt. Pleasant for Old Thresher's reunion tomorrow so I had to get busy and sew my DGD a dress. It is all done except the ruffle on bottom so I will do that when she gets here tomorrow. She will make it so much cuter than this picture.

Little gift box Sept 2

Found the directions for this while blog hoping and finally got around to making one. It is made using an Orbit gum container and opening it up and tracing on paper, cutting out, scoring, glueing and decorating. I hope to put a little chocolate treat inside for friends at birthday lunch for this month.
The blog where I found it was going to use it for a giftcard holder and a little tag greeting. This is a view of the inside.
