I found this image online this am and decided to make some for my friends at church. The Candy Cane tells the story for Jesus. It can be a J that stands for Jesus, Joy and Jerusalem. When held the other way it can be the shape of a Shepherd's hook. The three lines in the Candy Cane represent the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The white in the Candy Cane represent the purity of Jesus and the red represents the the blood he shed to save us form sin.
Next time you see a Candy Cane look at it a little closer.
I have been working on this scarf and hat for 2 days and thought I would like it more than I do. Now that it is finished I think it is too bulky but I spent too much time making it to not use it. :(
I found this snowman pattern on one of the blogs......can't remember what one. :( It turned out so cute and I can get candy bars very cheap this week so lots of my friends will be getting one of these soon!
I originally posted the first snowman but have made a few since then.
I am getting started on covering some pocket calendars for friends for 2012. Don't know how I will embellish them. Here is what they looked like to begin. I think they are rather dull.
Well, it is finally finished and the lights at the left of the tree are three pkgs. that are stack and a clear block that my daughter painted for me years ago. I am going to enjoy it for the next month. I do like Christmas!
I have had this tree kit in the closet for a few years and decided the other day to make it so I could get it out of the closet. I enjoyed making these with other family members more that doing this one by myself. I don't think I will eat any of it since it is probably way past edible. It will not be taking space in the closet next year. :)
